West Bank: Emergency Food Security Assistance in the Occupied Palestinian Territories - WBG041

Operation specific objective: Improved asset-base of vulnerable communities by increased food production and sustained income through engaging in small-scale agricultural activities, training and capacity building

Indicators and sources of verification:

  • 1,870 of households received assets for food production activities
  • At least 85 % of households increased purchasing power by a minimum of 10% by the end of project

Result 1, relevant indicator(s) and source(s) of verification: Household level food production and consumption enhanced among vulnerable Palestinian communities

Indicators:

  • At least 85% of target household increased food production by minimum 10% by end of project
  • Approximately 70 % household maintain food stocks (wheat, pickled and frozen vegetables, honey and milk products) for at least three months by end of project
  • Households with less than 3 meals per day increased their number of meals by end of project.


Result 2, relevant indicator(s) and source(s) of verification: Families have enhanced skills to better manage household food production and consumption (e.g. food processing, nutritional diets, etc)

Indicators:

  • Around 150 households (Bedouin) practising food processing activities by end of project
  • Increased knowledge in food production for 320 households by the end of the project
  • Nutritional awareness on food processing among 150 Bedouin households by end of project

Result 3, relevant indicator(s) and source(s) of verification: Women in the targeted community sustained their Income-flow at household level through facilitated access to market.

Indicators:

  • Approximately 290 households engaged in marketing surpluses of dairy products, honey and vegetable by end of project
