Operation specific objective: Improved asset-base of vulnerable communities by increased food production and sustained income.
Indicator(s) and source(s) of verification:
- At least 1,080 households engaged in diverse food production activities (sheep, beehives, small green house farming, crop production).
- At least 30% of households increased purchasing power by 10 % by end of project.
- At least 200 women easily marketed at least 15% of their dairy production.
Expected Result 1: Household level food production and food stock enhanced among targeted vulnerable Palestinian communities by around 45%.
Indicators:
- All households that will receive production input (1,080 hh, 45% from the total beneficiaries 2,400 hh) increased food production by minimum 10% by end of project.
- All households that will receive production input and food items (2,080 hh, 87% from the total beneficiaries 2,400 hh) maintain food stocks for at least six months by end of project.
- All households (2,080 hh, 87%) that benefit from the project will be able to diversify their food consumption.
- At least 980 households practising food production activities by end of project.
Expected Result 2: Vulnerable households are provided with at least 50 % of their average annual cheese consumption.
Indicators:
- At least 1,000 ‘hardship case’ households easily accessed at least 50% of their dairy product needs during the project period.
Expected Result 3: Around 58% of households sustained an adequate level of income-flow through production surplus earning and strengthened market linkages.
Indicators:
- Households who will receive production inputs and services (1,200HH 50% from the total beneficiaries 2,400 hh) engaged in marketing surpluses of dairy products, honey and vegetable by end of project
- At least 200 women earned income from selling part of their produce through the project
Expected Result 4: Around 120 households sustained their livestock through regular access to animal health care.
Indicators:
- At least 120 sheep, goat and cow breeders will have regular access to animal health care.
- At least 120 sheep, goat and cow breeders will save up to 80% of their spending on veterinary services and animal medicines
