Nepal: Post-Flood Rehabilitation Support for Victims of Flooding in 3 Districts of Eastern and Western Nepal - NPL062

Response Goal and Objective

Goal:
To provide post-flood rehabilitation support to the victims of flooding in Dhanusha, Mahottari and Banke Districts of Nepal

Objective:
To provide post-flood rehabilitation support (housing construction materials and access to clean drinking water) to 193 flood affected families in Dhanusha, Mahottari and Banke Districts of Nepal


Activities Planned

CARE Nepal, in partnership with local NGOs and National Red Cross Society (NRCS) plans to conduct the following activities in three  districts:

  1. Provide support for 193 low cost housing construction with materials (such as bamboo, roofing materials etc) to at least 193 poor and most marginalized households for reparining their houses most of which are completely destroyed by the floods.
  2. Provide support to rehabilitate/install 49  handpumps to provide clean drinking water to at least 193 households.
